News Release: The Navy Band

Western Plains Arts Association News Release
The United States Navy Band from Washington, D.C. will present a free concert at the Colby Event Center on Tuesday, March 7, at 7:00 p.m. The concert is sponsored by Western Plains Arts Association.
The Band will perform a variety of popular and classical favorites. The concert is free but tickets are required. Free tickets can be obtained from your local WPAA contact person or by contacting Pat Ziegelmeier

Wichita Children's Theatre in Northwest Kansas

The Wichita Children’s Theatre Professional Touring Company will present THE THREE LITTLE KITTENS in six area schools this coming Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, October 10, 11, and 12.
The Three Little Kittens have lost their mittens—but they’re not just going to sit around and cry about it! These kittens are definitely not your ordinary house cats. Help the kittens find their mittens and save them from their hideous fate—a time out! The kittens all learn many valuable lessons, but the most important is to always tell the truth. Adapted by Kevin M. Reese, this musical comedy is based on the popular children’s story.

Three on a String in Colby!

THREE ON A STRING to perform in COLBY, KS for WPAA
Three on a String performs all kinds of music from old standards, country, classical, bluegrass and folk. Jerry Ryan, Bobby Horton, Brad Ryan and Andy Megginnis have been having a good time right along with their audiences all over the country for 50 years. Sunday, November 13th , 3:00p.m. (CST), the Cultural Arts Center will be the site for these gents to perform their unique four-part harmony. Their pleasing blend of voices and instruments, from a heartrending country song to an unexpected a cappella rendition, is suitable for the entire family. Three on a String’s show has evolved into a well-timed, musically interesting and funny presentation.

Neil Diamond Tribute in Hoxie

The Hoxie High School Auditorium will be the location for 12X Branson show award winner Keith Allynn to unveil his story of Neil Diamond’s life. The production will commence on Sunday, October 16th, 3:00 p.m. (CDT) in the Auditorium. Allynn and the Double Diamond Show Band tell the story of Diamond’s life through Diamond’s own songs, while weaving through Allynn’s own comedic journey from a top 10 Elvis in the World to Neil Diamond---all for the love of a woman.
